This is a genuine vintage mountain rucksack actually used by the Swiss Army mountain troops in the 1940s-1950s.

Made of thick olive canvas with rugged genuine leather reinforcements and iron buckles typical of the military-issued items of the time, it has a heavy, imposing atmosphere not found in modern outdoor gear.

The design, shape, and size are all well-balanced, making it a superb military rucksack.

A notable feature is the wool felt remaining on the back of the shoulder straps. This is a unique specification of the Swiss Army, adopted for use in snowy mountains and cold regions, and a detail not seen in reproduction items.
