Carpathian Elm Burl wood veneer 6" x 15" with no backing raw veneer AA grade 1/42" thickness. One piece as pictured. Product will require flattening prior to use. This can be done with veneer softener shown (sold separately). Ships flat in between sturdy cardboard. Burl will usually have some small holes that require wood filler and may have minor cracks. Examine photos carefully if this is a concern. Other sizes, backed veneer options and edgebanding are available for this wood. About pictures : Most pictures have been temporarily wet on the lower portion of the veneer to show what the grain may look like when finish is added. For raw veneer or un-backed products, we suggest using the Internet to see what advice is available as opinions vary on the best way to handle that product. How to apply : Paper-backed and wood-backed veneers are generally applied with contact cement. Raw plain veneer is applied with white or yellow wood glue and must have pressure applied while drying.
